Fernando Glenadel Braga completed his BSc degree in Chemistry at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and his PhD degree in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of Porto University (Portugal). He is very active in the field of science divulgation, a member of Vila Real Chemistry Research Centre and Assistant Professor at the Chemistry Department of the UTAD. He is a well-known expert in the fields of oenology, industrial valorization of agro-industrial wastes and environmental remediation, with several articles, patents and books published. He began his professional career in the pharmaceutical sector in the 80’s. In 1992 he moved to Portugal and joined UTAD. Since then he divided his time between the academic research and the industrial consultancy services. He is currently a national expert in CNOIV, and a technical advisor for Destildouro Lda., the major distillery in the north of Portugal.
