Margarida Maria Correia Marques holds a doctorate from the University of Göttingen, Germany. She holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. She is currently Professor of the School of Life and Environmental Sciences and responsible for the Environment Unit of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD).
